Not sure what my word allocation is here, and we both know my ability to run my mouth!

So, I’ll keep it brief… 

Who would have thought that the two little girls who met at age five would still be here, celebrating turning 30 together?

I’m forever grateful that your mama taught you good manners (because you put them to good use when we met on my first day at Reinwood, duh!) and despite all the dramatic ‘I’m never speaking to Shannon Brown again!’ moments along the way, I’m so glad we always found our way back to being besties.

I’m sure I’ve told you before, but for the record: I am so proud of the incredible woman you’ve become. You are beautiful (thank Sonia again), intelligent (Sincarona can have some credit too) and you always carry yourself with a level of class that is rare in this world.

From our “off-centre” hats (fashion icons), mix-and-match outfits (matching socks are for losers), chasing after your dad with our cups of chips, to my terrible attempt at a tic toc… being able to call you my best friend for the last 25 years has been a privilege. I am so grateful that I’m still here, celebrating you being everything you are, work towards and deserve to be.

Cheers to you turning 30 Shan Shan and to all the adventures still waiting for you, hopefully some with me!!!
